Hara will make it like success for shin when he survive and no one from hsu core members die or at least only one.

If hara was brave like earlier in the story
He could have killled here at least half of hsu members and make hsu survive with only 1k or less soldiers.

His only way out of it is if Ousen is there as well. But he should be busy with SBS.
Still disappointing that at this point of the story, Shin still gets cornered this easily with no back up plan.

Also it seems his instinct is definitely gone. It became irrelevant, non existent.

I am not aware how Riboku did it, I'm barely following what's happening in story these days due to non-translations.
But this is wasted opportunity if Hara didn't highlight doubts in Shin mind/ hint Shin instincts. Also, Karyoten is just there for show that's established multiple times now.

The problem is the definition of general Shin is not a good general Riboku plans are effecting the whole battlefield He lock down Ousen, took out Yotanwa, now cripples HSU and so on.

Shin on other hand swings his glaive and 99% of this forum thinks that's enough to be called a great general that's stupidness nothing more.

Great generals doesn't fight at the front they fight like Riboku they control the battlefield
Again Shin is just a squad leader who uses muscles not brain to shine.

Surviving this is plot... yes normally He will be slaughtered but he will survive otherwise the series ends but after nearly 900 chapters he is just a squad leader.

The limit of instinct is that is situational not a few steps ahead.
Instinct helps one in moments to change tide of a battle

A strategist like Riboku plans the movements of those units.

He made it look like Shin broke through make him secure that he won it was an trap and Shin trapped in.

The decoy was Kantan he knew that Shin couldn't withstand this opportunity

Once Shin would make a formation to conquer to city by siege he doesn't have any formation to fight an incoming Riboku army and the walls cut of his retreating route.


That's something he planned before the start of the battle.

But that's sad, then Shin is going to become the strongest individual fighter in Kingdom, not a great general.
