I am genuinely surprised Oda had Loki go back to base form. Basically deescalating power levels mid fight with Imu, the strongest in the verse

I know plot > power scaling in OP so Oda doesn’t give a shit that Loki is now canonically trying less against Imu mid fight, but like what’s so special about Loki’s hybrid that it’s being saved this far

like is Oda going to have Loki use hybrid at the same time as Luffy uses g5 to imply that Loki’s REGULAR hybrid is as powerful as Luffy’s awakened form?

Idk man. Loki fruit could be special like Luffy.
Does Luffy have all the forms?
Base? Yes
Hybrid? Always
Zoan? Gear 5?

A lot of things doesn't make sense when it comes to god fruit. Similarly Yami fruit, though logia but intangiblity.

Also Biggest strength of thr fruit is about Zoan form not his hybrid form.
Kaidou Hybrid form takes the defense stats from Zoan form. What is Loki gonna take from Zoan form? Wings? A possiblity... size? Idk.

Nope. I'm saying there might be no Hybrid form.
Loki fruit is special like Luffy fruit.
How do you differentiate luffy, Base, Hybrid and zoan form?

Loki can already use lightening in base form. Can kaidou use his powers in Base form? Boro breath? Wind slashes?

No, we saw the hybrid. We saw it on panel. Oda just left it as Silhouette

Kaido is directly stated to have his zoan form Durability in his base form. As in he is as hard to damage in his base form as his zoan and hybrid because his dragon scale durability exists even when he’s in base

Orochi also has several heads in his base form.

marco has his phoenix flames on in base form too

Katarina Devon took Saturn’s form in her base form meaning her mythical zoan ability activated without her transforming

this is a gimmick of Mythical Zoans.

thats 5 mythical Zoans who can use mythical zoan abilities without transforming. It’s it special. It’s just a mythical zoan gimmick

Hybrid gives new stats.

Also it gives new techniques. Loki having the ability to use RAGNIR in his hands while using dragon strength and lightning will create new techniques

Hybrid Loki is the one that beat Harald, and Oda is choosing to stop Loki from using it even though Loki keeps talking about how being big in full zoan is disadvantageous to him. He never switches to hybrid so that Oda doesn’t show it

Because when fighting against Imu, Base Loki performs better than Zoan Loki.
Zoan is a form not fit for 1vs1 combat, it is merely for destruction and taxi service that we already saw.
Regarding Hybrid, maybe it wont be displayed in Elbaf or it is saved for the climax of the battle.

The problem is, hybrid is also less fit than base form against Imu as it brings the same inconvenience as Zoan, too much size.
Ngl, the whole "this fruit reaches full potential when Ancient Giant eats it" has backfired. It is literally a disadvantage when talking about 1vs1 combat, it only benefits in destruction. If normal sized human ate it, then hybrid would be big just enough not to be a liability.

Hybrid Loki and food amped G5 Luffy will definitely happen soon.

At least Oda used the excessive food consumption as an argument why Luffy is "as powerful as now."

Loki's hybrid was used to beat up Harald, so he's definitely using it as a last resort. I wouldn't even be surprised if G5 Luffy struggles first but Loki slightly turns the tables in his hybrid mode. There sure has to be a special power to why Xebec decided to give it to Harald specifically.

There’s nothing deep about it. It’s probably just to reveal it when the time comes, as it’s the form with the most interesting design elements most likely, and fits his fighting style a lot more. So it’s reserved. You can’t give your audience everything at once.
