Sanji may simply not participate in that as it might revolve around the triggers and SHs have to lose one fight which has to be Nami's.

ODA has served all how much he cares about Sanji

Until ODA does something for Zoro, as of now, Sanji looks impressive in attaining his strength, haki

while Zoro is like the perfect character with no flaws, that portrayal is hurting the character
I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets future sight this arc but where’s the built up n all

It would be incredibly stupid not to use the hybrid form and let himself get beaten in his base form. It’s already incredibly stupid to be getting impaled and, for some reason (script), not using the hybrid form to at least manifest some armor.
