France is too stacked.

World class players in practically any position.

Especially the attack. Lord have mercy.

Not even Infantino's Argentina with their 18 players on the field can beat them.

True, but anything can happen. France managed to beat the best starting 11 of all time in 2006.
True, especially in the KO stages since it's just one game.

But just looking at their squad, it's elite. Majority of their starting players are top 3/top 5 in their positions in the world, with some being the best at it.

When it comes to offense, they just have way too many options.

You cut Mbappe out, you still gotta deal with Dembele. And then Olise. And then Doue. And then Barcola. And then Cherki.

They even have Thuram and Mateta for crosses and long balls they can drop off for the faster players.

You can play perfect defense and all it takes is one play for them, one stroke of genius, and there's a through ball from Olise to Mbappe, between like 7 players, and Mbappe finishes top bin and there is nothing you can do about it.

They literally just need one mistake and it's over.

The attack is above elite.

Of course, anything can happen in a match, especially the KO stages since it's only one game, but man, I'd be hard pressed to think of a way they get knocked out fairly.

I hope so, but it's difficult. In the last games he runs about 6-7 kilometers and the rest of the players that cover him run 10-12.

It won't be so easy with France.
The less he runs, better he would be.

Haven't you heard what Beckham said about this?

I will fill it in case you haven't.

In Miami, few children came up to Messi to ask - what would be the best advice he can give to become better? Messi replied - "Walk more."

Beckham later clarified that when Messi walks more, he's actually analysing and planning ahead in real time - and I am not talking about position here but like a chess player who plans two - three chess moves in advance.

France has one massive tactical flaw. Don't worry. Scaloni and Messi would clearly figure it out. Heck, I am confident even Spain would do lmao

Spain and Argentina bring back some fresh traumas :hope:

These matches will be close calls imo. Most interesting ones, no matter the outcome.

I won't even rule out England. They are looking fine under Tuchel.

And, yes Mexico and USA due to home advantage and Colombia are good teams to have eyes on.
They sure are some great teams. It's gonna progressively get harder and more intense.

But I was just mentioning Spain and Argentina because France lost to them in Euro and World Cups recently.
Lost in semi-final against Spain in 2024.
Lost in final against Argentina in 2022.

In the current World Cup, France has shown great skills but also so many missed opportunities. They know they cannot miss that much for the next matches.

France has been good. But I think many people have recency bias right now. Argentina is equally good..

Infact, I would say Argentina has been the most consistent team when it comes to performances in the world.

Since their defeat to S. Arabia in the first match of WC 2022, Argentina has lost Only 2 matches out of 59 matches they played. Their last defeat was in 2024.

France has been really good as well. But they lost 7 matches out of 44 they played since their loss in WC final.

Consistency speaks more volume

Same thing with Brazil 2006. Maybe even more so if you go 1 to 1. You had the best left-back alongside the best playmaker alongside the best striker alongside elite players in every single position. They still managed to lose a World Cup that they had an obligation to win.

France is unquestionably the best team rn. But soccer is fucking weird and anything can happen. Granted tho, France has the best chance alongside Argentina.
