Already answered this kinda , for one if Oda really wanted to make a plan he could'v instead of letting us wait couple of chapters of everyone thinking "oh what's Sanji planning to do in this impossible situation , surely he has a plan like he always does" ... remember he got them out of worst situations than this in Enies Lobby


yet the solution for that was "Sanji picks Luffy inside an entire army and RUNS (?!?)" like really is that the plan ?


As for Vergo nah he was never the main villain (it was ceaser) nor had the hype/prestige of one and remember Zoro vs a main villain in Fishman island what looked like ... Sanji could'v hold him off without taking damage and same goes against Doffy , Zoro held Fujitora without taking damage


you can always hold off/push characters back without taking damage even if you're weaker and even if you do take damage at least it's a cool moment , remember when Sanji saved Usopp from Enel's attack and had that cool moment

I know you think highly of Sanji but its an entire yonko fleet, its a yonko fleet...... should Oda make all of them incompetent for one guy to look good?

Vergo was sent there to protect Caesar, Even Caesar was hyping up Vergo.

Zoro held fujitora off without taking damage because HE'S STRONGER than Sanji. He would have lost obviously but Zoro is stronger than Sanji thats why he looks better in fighting situations. Sanji wasnt in a life or death situation against Vergo , plus he was injured before hand. So I give him the benefit of a doubt. Its fair to say Vergo was stronger than Sanji at that point in time. It also makes sense in the powerscaling for sanji to struggle against Vergo. Doflamingo fucked up a lot of people so sanji losing to doffy makes a lot of sense too.

From Luffy reaction it safe to say Sanji is still ok after King slam Sanji into that building. Luffy does not even plan to go to help instead thinking go to Kaido and how to deal with Big Mom. Even Sanji cant defeat King he still can delay King for period time

I didn't get it at first but it seems Sanji was out like luffy against Apoo but it took more times. Lots of things happened between King's attack, Luffy and Zoro trying to get to the top and Queen intervention, BM and numbers vs Franky and co.
Oda just used Sanji's abilities to save Momo but unfortunately yes, Oda used him as hypetool again for King and also the RS

First of all we clealry see him down and get up.
Second of all he doesnt even move until franky takes the number out, numbers that hadnt even arrived until after he was hit by king. So yes unless he was playing dead he was kod.

People know it's not binary right? There's a middle ground between shaking off the attack no bother and getting knocked out. It certainly knocked the wind out of Sanji, but I don't think he was knocked out and jumped up in like twelve seconds lol.

Yes, Sanji was made a hype tool. But in a good way this time. He showed his RS can withstand strong attacks. Night and day with the Vergo or Doflamingo situations, which were mildly humiliating.
