That's not a sfx, it's just them being heated up.. Succeeding that blow, Oda went out of his way to show Garp with silent speech bubbles.. No Haa, Haa, no Zee, Zee, nothing.. Garp is built different, he's the only one of the Old Guard that is still in his prime..

Garp is good.. I was the biggest downplayer of him pre Hachinosu, but he's a monster..
