What do you propose exactly ? Being xenophobic against entire populations because their citizens lived under religious dictatorships ? it's almost like people are fleeing these religious dictatorships for a reason...
I have genuine sympathy for individuals who are genuinely fleeing religious persecution. However, my empathy does not extend to those who claim to be fleeing persecution only to remain adherents to the very ideology they claim is the cause of their flight. Statistics on this are hard to capture, for many studies tend to identify anyone from middle-eastern regions as Muslim. However, anecdotal experience from living in areas with high areas of migrant redistribution (into nearby hotels), the majority of these appear to still uphold these values.
You should also consider that just because I brought up the antithetical relationship between religious blasphemy laws and free speech, a lot of migration actually happens from Africa. A lot of these illegal migrants are Christian. As such, consider my example but one of many different examples.
What do I propose? I simply want to stem migration for a time and deport individuals who have committed crimes or have links to terrorism. For example, the Manchester Arena bomber had direct links to terrorist organisations.
My beliefs are not just about Middle-Easterners or Africans. I feel the same way towards Europeans, individuals from the Americas, and East Asia in regards to deportations and migration. My only exception (and this applies to all), is when somebody is marrying a British native, as that offers a better pathway for integration.
I will also state that I welcome people who genuinely admire the British way of life and wish to live that way among us. This happened more in the past, and I know many older immigrants who I am personally friends with. Ironically, many of these individuals hold even stronger views that I on this matter.
But some people have called that ladder-pulling already. I call it, as Logiko might, having a better understanding of the people as they've lived with them before.
I, as a non rich man, don't want immigrants who come to my country because they're too poor and only want welfare and whatnot ! So I'll vote for policies that'll make me poorer which will make my life more difficult but at least this will keep the migrants away.
My main argument is that multiculturalism is how the world has always worked
Instead of simply arguing, I want to understand your view. Can you offer me your definition of multiculturalism? There may be a disconnect in our viewpoint on this.
Can you define it and explain how it has always existed with historical examples?
Fuck you, and you, and you
I hate your friends and they hate me too
Even his friends hate him.
And western cultures are which one?
In this limited view - blasphemy laws are common in Islamic countries. Western nations, such as America, have free speech laws.
