Nah he's actually from an alternate universe where Kaido is the main protag and saviour of Elbaph.

Unfortunately due to freak accident all his posts go to this universe's version of Worstgen instead of his own and vice versa.

Correct but you disregard Oda's intention there - he wants to sink Midd to the bottom of the ocean and haki burst does not do that.

You keep failing to see the bigger picture...
...there is no god tier that is unreachable for others, for true hakimen at least.
Every ability bends a knee to haki and Shanks in the present has achieved the ability that can negate all evolutions of humanity.
So, while Imu seemed unbeatable for Shanks 14 years ago, doesnt mean he is unbeatable today.
Once again, nobody said the abilities are disabled for an entire fight.
