What is Shanks’s Sword Style?

King fights with a sword most of the time, but isn’t a swordsman. Harald fights with a sword most of the time, but isn’t a swordsman
Bullshit actually. Its the same dumb logic as saying that Fujitsu isn't a devil fruit user because even though we see him use his devil fruit most of the time , he still isn't a devil user. You hear how retarded that sounds?

I guess luffy isn't a haki user even though he uses haaki most of the time.

I guess luffy isn't a devil fruit user even though we see hin use his fruit most of the time

I guess luffy isn't a brawler/fist user even though we see him use his fist most of the time

I guess sanji isn't a fire user even though we see him use fire most of the time.

I guess Yamato isn't a CLUB USER even though she uses a club most of the time.

The logic is retarded at best

no ones going to change their mind on shanks vs Mihawk before Mihawks time in the story. It is what it is.

I think swordsman is a poorly defined concept in verse, but the validity of titles(which Mihawk fans don't even believe in) is more relevant imo
The reason why Mihawk's title is so damning for Shanks is because Shanks is singled out as someone included in the WSS's domain.

Like, Kaido said there's no one capable of defeating him and then proceeded to immediately lose. WB admitted to being incapable of remaining the strongest.

So in general yeah, titles are not very relevant. In fact, Mihawk's title is also not that relevant. But the catch is that Shanks is one of maybe 3 people in whose case the title ACTUALLY applies lmao, and we have manga confirmation of this after 1058

I do find it funny that people have this obsession with proving all the titles invalid, when the literal ONLY reason they're doing it is to free Shanks from his shackles despite the fact that he's the last person to have an actual excuse out of it

All of CP9 are swordsman by this definition, and Kaku called himself the strongest swordsman of CP9 despite the huge Doriki gap between him and Lucci…

We saw in the Loki flashback that Ragnir is fully capable of just swinging himself around, even in hammer form. Why would he need Usopp?
Ragnir battle IQ was fully occupied in protecting the Nidgogg Fruit, by the orders of his previous master

He now transitioned just being weapon (his natural state) used by his master.

Ragnir need masters to function, remember he's literal hammer first and foremost

Just the way I see it, Mihawk favors the two-handed sword style, but we remember using his dagger, right? I would imagine if you give him any type of sword, he could use it. Even Zoro has shown some aptitude here, like replicating Kin'emon's style.

But Shanks is kinda limited by only having one arm. He would have issues trying to use Mihawk's own sword.

So, he is probably indeed stronger as an overall combatant, but not a better swordsman.

Genuinely shanks fans should just hope that there’s a devil fruit in his sword that’s the only way he’ll get out of this
