Yeah honestly Gaban is closer to Jinbe than to Judge's son
Even their epithet is more similar, "Mountain Eater" and "Knight of Sea" -> Mountain & Sea, the areas they excel at. Gaban must be a monster fighting in mountain with his axe, and Jinbe being strongest fishman is monster at sea

And of course Jinbe is not famous because he is "Fisher Tiger's friend", he made his name famous on his own

Imu is one of the biggest threats they are facing, two of the Holy Knights got a massive power up, Elbaf is being attacked, and the villains are trying to force Elbaf to join the World Government.

Meanwhile Luffy in Gear 5 was just laughing and having fun when fighting against Imu, not taking the threat seriously.

Hopefully Luffy will now realize that this is not a fun game anymore.

But they are meant to be OP....and will always be written to look cooler than they're prime selves.

Honestly if it wasn't for "out of prime" statements I'd flat out consider them to be on par with or stronger than their prime selves.

Luffy should not be using G5, gear 5th is a nerf.
He should fight Imu like how he was fighting Kaido on the rooftop, only ACoC would work against top tiers, Haki-less G5 moves will not do shit to Imu

It's crazy I don't even think Luffy took Kizaru that serious. this g5 shit is degressing him. I think base luffy acoc rooftop beats kizaru within seconds

Given oda is not a fan of repeat in fights (unless there is a REAL long gap since the characters were shown fighting) i wonder what Imu will use when he will fight once again, he is almost going thorugh all of the weapons now? Plus the ones he gave bummers and bummingham?
