I think it was called Hiryu Kaen which means Flying Dragon Fire Blaze. I think that was just a "filler" attack that doesn't really connect to anything other than to finish off Ryuma to be honest.

True, but it does sort of set the precedent for Zoro being able to use "flaming" attacks. Or at least attacks that set their target on fire if they connect.
