Okay, glad we made progress, still luffy has all tools to beat kaido, yes we k kw Kaiod is endurance to out last people to win technically. Luffy need BG is because Kaido pull last strongest move which it is last resort move. But fair point .
First of all, your mistake to apply kaido to BB. They are not equal for reason. Blackbeard is son of Rock Xebec. While you may see Blackbeard look pathetic but it doesn't changd his feate. Shabksnjs getting insane fears, he learn Roger singal move by age 15 that none of Rayleigh or Gaban can achieve. Same Blackbeard give Shanks a scar as feat, same Shanks fought Mihawk as legendary duel before age 25 on fighting Harald.
I mean in portray wise, Luffy who overfeeding himself sense Imu haki, say he never feel so intense/string haki before. After having big meal, luffy legit beleive he can't lose and overwhelming power. In Elbaf arc, Gaban recognize Luffy defeat kaido. On this chapter, Gaban lecture on luffy (He literally hold luffy's neck as if he trybto strangle it). Gaban didn't say Luffy defeating kaido is fluke, he say pirate king is title, which many strong opponents to face it to climb over like stepping stones.
Then Gaban coc is so insane, I have hard time believe his coc literally made Imu bleed like that than his ax attack.whkch oda offscreen it. We don't have coc feats literally made someone bleed before Gaban happen. Shanks coc Blast didn't make greenbull bleed, or warcury coc Blast didn't make luffy or two giants bleed.
Gaban did fight Imu who is carrying tow weapon at.same times. Gaban seem didn't gat overpowered like zoro by Sommer.
Oda offscreen Gaban got arn chopped off. I guess Imu found open and cut or unseen move caused it.
Still Gaban ax swing on Adam tree is island level feat so he can use it on Kaido if he turn into Flame dragon.
