On Croc I don’t really care either way at this point tbh mostly coz I can’t really see what Croc is offering Sanji post Elbaf. Personally rather than an outright clash which is possible, I’d rather a tactical matchup btw the two maybe even in a Davy Back fight type scenario.

Tbh, I think Oda retconned Sanji PL direction.

I believe Oda really wanted to go with Germa stuff completely for Sanji

But considering how people hated raid suit idea, he decided to shift to haki boost for Sanji.

Nah even in WCI it was clear the science stuff was not for Sanji imo. I do wish he kept the cape though. That thing had style.

What I meant was that from TS to early wano (Sanji using raid suit) he wanted to explore Germa tech PL direction for Sanji but later on there's more build up for haki. I believe he changed his mind regarding how to progress Sanji evident from how much oda showcased Gaban in his old age in Elbaph unlike Ray.

I feel more like he did the same thing with Gear Fifth, a lot of people was expecting a more "edgy" transformation and Oda betrayed those expectations on purpose. The same he did with Sanji, giving him a tool as a power up and then doing a 360 in the end.

You can say so. We might even see another retcon with G5 as people really didn't like Nika being so carefree and laughing everytime. Took tensions away from the fights

Doubt it, I think the RS was just a plot device to awaken his Germa genes. Oda also wanted to show what Sanji would look like if he was an evil Germa soldier like his brothers. Kind of a canon "what if?" thing.

Also, it was a good excuse to sell more figurines.

Sanji uses haki when he uses DJ, that’s why we don’t see the same black. But it’s become ever clear with IJ that that’s how it always worked.

Oda used Zoro And Sanjis timeskip training to rhyme with Luffys. Where Zoro got one on one training by a top tier and Sanji spent two years in an island filled with monsters, Luffy got a combination of these two trainings.

There was no retcon, The dynamic has always been the exact same.
