I still dont understand why both paths cant coexist.
The exoskeleton is such a random boost though. People like Zoro get stronger and faster during big fights with no reasonable explanation at all. And usually they even get a proper PU on top of that.

While I appreciate a more gradual and consistent growth like the one Sanji is getting, it is undeniable the Germa lineage factor was unnecessary. CoA and CoC are more than enough to generate hotter flames without losing a limb.
Accepting who he is is going to play a big part in his CoC awakening but that is related to the wider Germa plotline

Idk man.
I dont think it bothers me that much. It's just a PU. It had specific ties to his personal arc, and it doesn't devalue his haki training.
Ifrit Jambe is the sum of both his exoskeleton + his haki.
His PU never tossed his haki aside.

Now he's gonna get ACoC on top of that with even more ties to his personal arc.

It makes Sanji unique compared to the likes of Luffy and Zoro and for some reason people are treating it as a bad thing?
Why?

I think the exoskeleton will be replaced in the future. Possibly something that’ll more connect with what is the origin of Sanjis fire

I don't think it was a bad thing at all.

End destination when it comes to Sanji was always going to be the same - there was never a doubt that Oda would change the dynamic.

No matter what any of the M3 pulls, dynamic will always remain the same.

Its the path I am talking about.

I felt Oda simply had Germa path for Sanji until Sanji vs Queen happened and since then he's drifting gradually towards haki path for Sanji.

And, my reasoning is RS and tech path wasn't so well received by fans and perhaps made oda change the direction. Of course I could be wrong and oda could always had haki direction in mind but we can't read Oda's mind and based on how I felt I shared my idea

Or my idea was correct :jordanmf:
Not only the RS was very redundant with Sanji’s fighting style from the beginning, but it’s possibly incompatible with DJ because it’s resistant to heat, which would explain why he didn’t use DJ against Page One. Granted, there was the invisibility thing, but Oda had already teased the "disappearing via speed" thing with Niji’s Stealth.

I really think it was a red-herring, in retrospect. Maybe Oda was planning to redesign it before one last final use in Onigashima, but I think he always intended to ditch it eventually.

It wouldn't have bothered me the same way if the exoskeleton granted him some sort of special ability. Greater strength or defence is no different from CoA+the usual island to island growth. All that build up for something visually identical to DJ.

Also there seems to be no obvious follow up to the exoskeleton. Nullifying a laser beam is the sole hint we got and (thankfully) Elbaf's focus has been on the much more pressing CoC issue

I remain optimistic though. I'm sure Sora's drug will save us from those ugly Jambe at some point and a proper demon form will appear:steef:

I think that was the point, his exoskeleton compensates the fact he only has basic CoA. There’s a good chance he’s never gonna get ACoA.

sort of seems like they're taking offense to what you're saying even though you're clearly not trying to diss sanji or anything like that
it's just an objective fact that oda didn't focus on his haki as much as he did with luffy or zoro up until elbaf
Again with that bs?

"If you disagree, you’re offended/a fanboy/a hater who doesn’t accept my very objective and unbiased take". :seriously:

I think you really need to show more humility and open-mindedness, dude. It’s getting old.

I think it's just difference of how we perceive Sanji's growth.

My bone of contention is if Oda really wanted to have Sanji having same haki boosts like Zoro and Luffy then he should have given him similar haki growth from the get go.

Luffy and Zoro were using haki infused fighting styles since TS while Sanji really didn't except for few instance of Coo and even in this case we didn't really get to advanced CoO while Zoro and Luffy got advanced haki.

Why even explored RS at all if haki was the plan from the get go?

It's more like Oda wanted something different for Sanji. A tech led path to reach to the top. He got RS concept and tried it few times and it didn't get receive well with the readers and he ditched it.

Gaban scolding Luffy to get serious kind of also reflects oda trying to change direction despite him clearly saying he likes G5 because G5 carefree attitude didn't get good reception

Again, Sanjis DJ is haki infused
