My position was that a knockout was never the criteria. Its complete and total defeat over spirit and body.

When you put it that way, I'm almost inclined to say it's a feat BUT it could quite possibly be an anti-feat out in place to make higher tier characters "feel" more realistic.

Am unsure whether it directly hypes those who cause a revert or dehype those who do revert.

I guess it depends how you wanna spin it, reverting could be a sign of a true all out fight from durable characters and their durability exceeds their body/minds capabilities or it's a sign of someone beating an insanely durable characters durability

hell it might even just mean a characters Haki just full surpassed the others

For sure, it definitely adds a layer to the fights when you compare the few that have reverted to those who don't, oda has clearly portrayed it for a reason
