It makes you think "Why even bother reading the rest?" Oda should really drop the pen and make someone else draw the manga instead of him. Also, replace those useless yes-editors who really gave their okay to this trash.

I remember Hiro being very flippant with a lot of his antagonists tbh. Not Zeref or Acno but people like Hades, Ravenguard's leader, Zero/Brain from one of the intro arcs, all more or less being humiliated badly.

But yeah, Oda is very bad at maintaining tension. Been reading weekly since chap. 784 and I can't really remember a time where tension was held for more than 3 chapters.

I dunno why, Oda can't commit to allowing his villains to achieve anything or he's just not interested in writing them as victors. Happens almost every arc, it's a series of failures due to plot contrivance most of the time.

Its quite funny that powerscaler in this forum are shocked about how oda writes his own "powerscale".
He just didn't cared that much about logic or anything like that, especially this is a shonen manga.
Basically Give Other character like Zoro sum Sake or sum time everytime he got defeated by the main antagonist or Top 1, he is going to win.
Thats how Oda been writing OP.
it was shown multiple times on Luffy.
Thats why I'm laughing when someone really said Luffy >>> rest and solos his crew.
Look at how bad Garp is on Marineford and now look at Garp since Hachinosu.
Oda going to give Any Strongest character their flowers. Its just need that much time.

Even if Harald defanged Elbaf, most people there still are giants and warriors.

Basically, imagine the Freiza Force going wild on Earth and then on Namek, where they actually fought back.

Itnis because oda wrote his villains way different than most authors

Not even weaten writers would humiliated villains like oda.

In most media, villains are well respected and portray well.

We all know how bad Mashima handled certain characters, arcs and asspulls but Idk... I don't see a point to claim "This is Fairy Tail levels of writing" when it's actually far worse. Even Mashima had standards for his final villains.

Agendas aside, I see no joy in reading a battle shonen where everything isn't even following some logic or rule behind it. Powersystem is complete shit and confusing, characters get randomly far stronger with no explanation, villains are getting humiliated and hypetooled for the most ridiculous reasons. Where's the guarantee Admirals or other characters wouldn't be treated like that either?
