As for Imu, it's strange. He sounds ancient and contemporary at the same time. Sometimes pompous and extravagant, other times childish and petty. It's an odd mix. Like someone who's lived for 800 years but never actually matured. All that time on the throne and he still throws tantrums over a dead man's name. Immortality gave him power but it clearly didn't give him growth.
