News One Piece Film: God Valley (Summer 2027)

Having a movie based on GV is a great idea.

GV flashback was well received across the world. People really liked Xebec.

There's lot of potential here for the plot.

How Xebec build his crew, his past, how he knew about IMU and Davy, his MJ infiltration, his relationship with Harald and obviously what happened at GV.

We can also learn about Shanks and Teach a bit.

As God Valley movie will be released next year and is based on flashback we saw in Elbaph arc so it's fair to deduce that One Piece BAAD movie will cover aspects after Elbaph arc about which we have no clue.


And, it will be released in 2029 - 30th anniversary of one piece so I think the movie will definitely feature SHs and something related to D clan

Did you notice the ambient sound that starts during the BAAD presentation?

It changes completely.

It’s the sound of waves on the open sea, mingled with a sort of piano tinkling.

The soundscape might be a clue to the film's content, especially the sounds of waves.

This God Valley movie feels like Toei's attempt to recreate the gigantic box-office successes of the recent Demon Slayer movies by adapting a popular recent story arc.

You definitely could make an entertaining self-contained God Valley movie since you don't have the baggage of the Fraud Hats and the story is simple as a Trojan War allegory with the kidnapping of Shakky sparking a massive conflict between Pirates and Marines/WG.

A movie of God Valley, if well executed, is the best thing. Oda didn't manage to properly portray the scale of the battle (except for Xebec vs Roger & Garp) and what came after.

A movie can show us a lot more things:

• How Xebec met Eris and how Garling met Magnolia, to give more characterization to the women
• More scenes in Shakky's bar at Fullalead, to better estabilish the characters of Rocks Crew and Roger Crew
• A proper scene about Ochoku betrayal and killing of Don Marlon
• Extended fights in general...
  • The full fight between Xebec and Garling
  • Gaban & Roger Pirates vs some Rocks Pirates
  • A full, prolonged fight of DR Xebec vs Roger & Garp
  • John vs Ganzui vs Shiki
  • Potentially some background clashes of Sunbel, Barbel, Gloriosa, etc...
  • Maybe even a brief scene of why Shiki and Kyo were said to be rivals
• A lot of POV on screen for the younger characters like Teach and Dragon, showing how the battle is destroying everything
• How all the different characters got out of the island...
  • Teach & Eris (maybe even how Eris died after that)
  • Newgate and Graham, how they started sailing together
  • Garp return to the Marines, after being saved by the Roger Pirate
• The whole aftermath...
  • Dragon officially retiring from the Navy
  • Garling being praised as the Champion and Garp as the Hero
  • Five Elders studying how to re-tell the story
  • Kaido, Linlin and Shiki starting conquesting territories

There is a lot of interesting stuff that could be shown, that in manga would've taken 5-10 more chapters.
