It Ain't Much, But It's Honest Work
"Just a regular day, doing regular things. Nothing special. But somebody's got to do it."
[Passive - Humble Beginnings] - The Honest Worker flies under the radar. They appear as [Innocent] to all alignment checks. The Honest Worker is also immune to all forms of recruitment, conversion, or alignment change they know what they are and they're happy with it.
[Passive - Daily Grind] - The Honest Worker shows up every day, rain or shine. Their voting power starts at 1, but for each Day phase they successfully cast a vote (any vote), they gain +1 temporary voting power for the following Day phase (max +2). This bonus resets if they fail to vote in a phase. Additionally, the Honest Worker cannot be role-blocked during the first 12 hours of any phase they're already awake and working before anyone else gets started.
[Passive - Keep Your Head Down] - The Honest Worker knows that trouble comes to those who seek it. They are immune to the first negative action (kill, role-block, role-crush, or destructive ability) targeting them each cycle. They simply aren't noticed. If targeted a second time in the same cycle, the Honest Worker is fully affected they're only human, after all.
[Passive - Work-Life Balance] - The Honest Worker believes in doing a good job and then going home. Their actions function with standard priority but cannot be edited or tampered with. If any player attempts to forge, alter, or interfere with the Honest Worker's submitted actions or their results, the attempt automatically fails and the interfering player is vote silenced for the following phase. The Host will announce: "A hard day's work cannot be undone." This announcement cannot be prevented or altered.
[Active - Clock In] - The Honest Worker begins each Day phase with a fresh outlook. Once per Day, they may target a player and perform a "Wellness Check." They learn whether the target has performed any actions in the phase (yes/no) and whether they are currently afflicted by any negative effects (role-block, role-crush, poison, etc.).
[1-shot per Day]
[Active - Honest Hand] - The Honest Worker offers a helping hand to a fellow Town member. Once per cycle, they may target a player and grant them a temporary +1 voting power for the Day phase. The target is informed: "Someone has given you a helping hand." The Honest Worker is not revealed as the source.
[2-shots]
[Active - Tireless Worker] - The Honest Worker doesn't stop until the job is done. Once per cycle, if they are role-blocked, role-crushed, or otherwise prevented from acting, they may activate this ability to "push through" the interference. Their next action for that phase is processed as if the interference did not exist. This ability may be used after the interference is applied.
[3-shots]
[Active - The Night Shift] - The Honest Worker knows that some people need a little extra help to get through the night. Once per Night phase, they may target a player and perform one of the following supportive actions:
--- [Cover Their Shift] - The Honest Worker covers for a player who is role-blocked, role-crushed, or otherwise prevented from acting. The target's actions for that phase are processed as if the interference did not exist. The target is informed: "Someone has covered your shift you are no longer role-blocked/crushed."
--- [Pack Their Lunch] - The Honest Worker provides a warm meal and some encouragement to a tired ally. The target 's next action is upgraded. The target is informed: "You feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead your next action is upgraded."
--- [Take the Heat] - The Honest Worker steps in front of danger for a coworker. Once per Night phase, they may target a player and protect them from all negative actions for the remainder of that phase.
[Active - Word of the Common Man] - The Honest Worker is not a detective, but they have good instincts. Once per phase, they may target a player and ask the Host one of the following questions:
- "Is this player a threat to Town?" ( Yes if Mafia / Indie ( town aligned, scum aligned, pure neutral indie included )
- "Has this player performed a harmful action in the cycle?"
The Host will answer truthfully with a simple "Yes" or "No."
[2-shots]
[Active - Coffee Break] - Even honest workers need a break. Once per game, the Honest Worker may activate this ability to "take a break" for one phase. During this phase, they cannot post, vote, or perform actions. However, they are immune to all actions for the duration. At the end of the break, they return to work refreshed, gaining a +1 voting power for the next cycle
[1-shot]
[Conditional Passive - No Rest for the Wicked] - If the Honest Worker successfully participates in a scum lynch, they gain a permanent +1 voting power and a one-time immunity to the next negative action targeting them. The Host will announce: "Hard work pays off!"
[Conditional Passive - The Grind Never Stops] - If the Honest Worker is killed or lynched, their spirit of industry lives on. All Town players gain a +1 voting power for the next cycle, and the lynch phase is extended by 24 hours. The Host will announce: "The Honest Worker's legacy continues!" This announcement cannot be prevented or altered.
