What was the last movie you watched?

The Odyssey was incredible, Nolan will win it all again. I’m seeing a lot of similarities with Oppenheimer’s central themes. The gods aren’t that much present here unlike in the OG texts, which is a great change imo. The focus on the theme of human agency, and consequence instead of divine intervention dictating anything is harder-hitting.

Fight Club.

This movie was amazing, with Brad Pitt possibly doing the best performance of his life, both as a funny character and then as a creepy but amazing villain, Edward Norton being amazing, and Helena Bonham Carter being great as well.

The music, cinematography, and dialogue were all top-notch, and I liked all the hints about the film's big reveal. The ending was very memorable as well.

Fjord.

A tense and austere movie about clashes of cultures, religious education and education that are considered progressive, Norway's unique and often scary child welfare service called the Barnevernet, and how it's capable of taking children away from their parents with methods that are quite extreme, and the parents' fight to avoid prison and to retrieve their kids.

The tension and drama elements are strong in this movie; you can't help but feel for the parents who have their children taken away and risk losing them permanently, and you see the complexity of the relationships between the neighbours with their warmth, tensions, and hypocrisies.

Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve are very good, and the girls' actors are quite good as well.
