I wonder how Oda will set up Zoro vs Mihawk.
I want it to feel like a high-stakes deathmatch rather than just master and student having a duel.
Now that Zoro and Mihawk become so closer with each other, it feels weird.
Mihawk does not feel like an antagonist to me like Nusjuro or Shiryu are.
Yeah, this scene helped give Zoro depth and development. However, he's been flanderized since, with him only serving as a badass fighter without any real development. Part of why Wano was trash was that it was by far the greatest opportunity to develop Zoro further and give him more depth back, and yet Oda, once more, squandered that opportunity.
That Zoro never went to Ryuma's grave, despite having stated his desire to do so, is the symbol of Zoro's wasted Wano potential.
Those are bored characters who need toys. You don't play with a toy that's still in its prototype phase. You wait until it is perfected--then you break it.
