I wish Oda would just learn to off screen these type of things. Do we really need to have dozens of chapters dedicated to the characters moving toward their target while fighting foddders on ther way every damn arc? By far One Piece biggest weakpoint.

After Zoro fighting gifters for like 5 chapters straight, we get the long awaited Luffy and Zoro numbers face-off
This is the "war" that was supposed to make Marineford look cute

It's the power scaling problem

Luffy was so weak in marine Ford that it was actually entertaining to see him even fighting vice admirals

Now Luffy is so strong that oda has to make sure he doesn't go all out or else he'll end the arc

It's like imagine Marineford but the Main character is Mihawk. Yet the plot requires that Mihawk can't ever face Whitebeard directly and Mihawk can't kill Luffy and Mihawk can't fight admirals and he can't fight shanks.

Oda would have to make up a bunch of shot for the plot to still make sense and the story will be boring as hell

Like right now, what exactly is stopping Luffy from going G4 and just blowing past King. I'm 100% sure Luffy is a better aerial combatant than king since in G4 Luffy can't still use his hands and shit.

But plot requires Luffy to fuck around with numbers.

This applies to Zoro and everybody. They are too strong to go all out without the plot being destroyed
