Powers & Abilities What is this Disney ass “Sense of self” nonsense?

#50
Well no, CoC is still in-born… mihaw even says it in this chapter… You have to be born with it

he’s saying that CoC is “FUELED”, as in it gets stronger, from “sense of self”
oh my bad lol.

And i know it sounds cheesy but isn't that it anyways? its in a way compliment what Rayleigh said "Have no doubt is power".

Afroking summed it up well, it lines up with other statements.
Don't be stuck with specific translation, see the overall meaning...
Realising thy own strength and not doubting it leads to power, which lines up with Mihawk telling Zoro to use his willpower to surpass his blade and him. And willpower is not haki, it is a thing that commands haki.

Just an FYI since I see this is being discussed. Something being congenital (present at birth) is not the same as something being genetic (hereditary).

CoC can also have a hereditary component to it without being strictly genetic.

It was inconsistent
It was present in earlier attack but missing in next, this was not Zoros first time using it.
Luffy was using it first time so it was crude and clumsy.
Crude means unrefined, clumsy means lacking coordination. The fight was mostly off panel, but we saw Luffy's initial strike and it looked good so it's very obvious what Kaido meant.

If Zoro failed for a whole chapter to put it together against minimal resistance Kaido would have bonked him, too
