We have to think in a more philosophical way. It does not mean that now Sanji will dodge every possible attacks, it's an impossible feat. It means that he will not be self sacrificial anymore, he will be aware that he is important as much as everyone in his crew. This means that he will put his best effort to defend himself even when hit.

Because next time he tries to protect others, it won’t be at the expense of himself. So next chapter, when he still now has to save the children and the women, but he’ll refuse to sacrifice himself. He’ll be able to draw out conquerors haki.

But it's not necessary. Self love doesn't lead to strong will power. One can hate his own existence but can have strong will power.


I do understand that self love here means Sanji will now put more emphasis on his own worth and dreams. He will value his own life more. But how it leads to CoC which is projection of one's own will on others is what doesnt clearly adds up?
