No he is not. Kaido wanted to be killed by JOYBOY. And the other times he tried killing himself was because he knew he could not die under normal circumstances..

Sanji however believes that his life is less than in comparison to people like zoro, luffy, his entire crew, zeff, every single woman. Its why he was overly sacrificial in reference ro marrying pudding (to sacrifice himself to save luffy and zeff).

Have f-in Ivankov of all peoplw, or at leastand MMA version of him, be the tipping point to remind Sanji of hisself worth. Who the F is Ivankov to Sanji? There was never a major interaction between the two to justify this nonsense. That's why I said Judge would have been better. It could have been Sora with a bloody face, Zeff with a disappointed face, or abused child Sanji with missing hands, or adult Sanji being another version of Judge, or Stealth black etc... something meaningful. Instead what we got is a singing Ivankov... I'm not going to pretent that shit satisfying or even remotely impactful like it pretends to be.

A singing Ivankov smh... and i's something that happened in the past for Sanji too, meaning Sanji experiences that moment already so this is just another case of selective amnesia like the nonsense we got Zoro earlier.

I don't understand selective amnesia thing. Do you guys just remember everything that happened last 2 years? like every conversation? Sanji is remembering and contemplating about it because he needs to overcome his weakness. He happened to remember a scene which can help him currently, cause he is desperately going through all his moments of self sacrifice and he happen to remember a conversation he had. Same for Zoro, to him it was just a random conversation during Lunch, it was not even training. He was also going through what he knows about Haki and remembered Mihawk's conversation.

Agree with both. However before he knew whom pudding even was he was sacrificing his future to be with one of bigmoms daughter. He found out whom she was afterwards.

However I do agree with you in reference to none of this being a nerf for him. Infact it ain't really making sense since he hasn't been overly sacrificial of himself in wano

Yeah the thing with black maria is 100% incosistent.
Oda isn't good with retcons.
