Not really.
One Piece always had these slower, setup or "small fragment of a bigger whole" chapters. One Piece is NOT written with the weekly experience in mind.
There are A LOT of weeks with nothingburger chapters that you need to piece together the next one or two in order for them to make an enjoyable experience.

But, again. That's not new.

I said to kekaro.
One Piece does not care for the weekly experience. Which makes the breaks more painful when we get the nothingburger chapters.

It's very different with smaller mangas that NEED to milk that hype everyweek because their runs are much shorter or can be cancelled if they dont sell well.
One Piece doesn't have this dread lurking.
One Piece is not going to be cancelled.
So Oda gets a lot of freedom to write this story more like a novel, instead of weekly bits.

I disagree all chapters something is Happening the Plot progresses, a character finds Something Out etc.

Bad (slow) pacing would for me something Like wano where we get introduced to character and Plot points that lead to nowhere for example

But then all the tourists Like wano so

You guys need to be like me.

I don't remember when was the last time I read Elbaph arc(will binge read). I just read short summary and then go into discussions and pick my points from whatever anyone is talking to kill time.

Although it's almost confirm Sanji CoC, but why does this setup not link with awakening CoC??
More to do with CoO....

Oda did say Luffy specialize in CoC, Zoro CoA and Sanji CoO
Anyhow CoC is still required to beat those bum Holy knights
Or Power of love gonna show it's magic
