Oh no Katakuri is literally treated by Big Mom as a lowly son, he isn't even treated as captains partner like Zoro is with Luffy, he is literally just a commander sharing his position with other commanders.

Well, if Luffy is next Xebec(or Xebec on mother line, also this could explane why Ace was Rogers son. It's like Luffy dream to became like his own grandpa enemy, while Ace called his father Whitebeard, who was in crew of his father srtongest enemy) I have feeling that this could happened. Earlier I was thinking that Zoro will be next Kaido, so in that time it was hard to find who could represent Whitebeard in his crew, but now when we got Yamato, and I believe she will join Luffy crew as Kaido, than Whitebeard would b obviosly Zoro, Shiki - Sanji. For now it's just not clear in which way Zoro is similar to Whitebeard, but I guess somehow in the future this will be revealed.

Fun fact, in real life, the pirate Roger North (who Roger is based on) was the first mate of the pirate captain Walter Raleigh (who Rayleigh is based on)
