The whole alliance getting defeated is simply a plan made to draw out the traitor.
There is something deeper going on with it.

I mean, yeah, I do think that the alliance will get squashed. But not without seeing it with our own eyes lol. When it fails, we will see it fail with our own eyes to see the overwhelming strength of the enemy taking control.
But this is just barely the beginning of the raid.

I'm starting to think it will be successful given all the bad things are already happening at the beginning of Act 3. The alliance member will most likely get to know that BM and Kaidou have made an alliance and will prolly be faced with that tough decision of whether to go through with the plan or not. However once they do, and they most certainly will, most likely with the 10000 men, I can't really see them getting defeated.

With two Yonkos being present I doubt it. Unless BM and Kaido somehow turn on each other or are separated from each other I don't see the Alliance winning. Besides despite the last chapter I can't shake off the feeling that at least some marines will come to Wano.

There is also still Denjiri that has yet to make an appearance and with how much Oda is holding on to him, pretty certain his appearance will end up being a big twist in the entire thing

Law changed sides for me but not in favor of Orochi-Kaido but for Drake.

Since Corazon was revealed to be a marine I always thought Law will at some point change from being a pirate .

Roger & Garp were able to defeat a similar type of antagonist tho:p so I don't doubt that Luffy and co. will accomplish it too. I however see where you're coming from given they are going up against two of the strongest in the verse ^^. I personally rate Kid & have high expectations for him so if you think of it as having two Luffys in one arc..lolz, with Law as well and the SHs, I think it's possible ^^. And yh I agree, we'll most like see some marines on Wano. Sword for sure! and then Kizaru as well. I thought it a bit odd that we didn't see him last chapter, so maybe he's on stand-by close to Wano.

On another note: That whole "fire festival raid" will be the biggest failure for our protagonists in the history of the series.
Not only is it basically already guaranteed to fail in the end (act 3 will be like Infinity War and act 4 will be Endgame), now even their whole preparation for it is already in shambles.

My bet would be on Garp as he is already done with his assignment of escorting the Fishman Island royalty and he is one of only few Marines who have other side than hostile one towards Strawhats and he has a history with members of Rocks Pirates and he is getting old.
If we are ever going to see some action from the Fist himself, the time is now.
Also, there has been no sign of Smoker and Tashigi, they could show up as well and they are usual Navy troop that hangs with SHs.
