I don't think she's able of that right now nor do I believe that Perospero came to Onigashima just to have a grudge match with Carrot, even if he's complying with his mother's plan for now he may still try to break the alliance with Kaido just in a subtler way.

not for me. Since its clear the plot itself is weird and given the panels oda gave to pedro(his death specifically) and carrot in wano(specially regarding the plot), its pretty clear oda is just trying to just complete thelose ends.

Her mentor figure freaking sacrifice himself to save everyone else. It’s very common that characters try to avenge the person they care about. Kyros went so far avenge his wife against diamante Franky and robin beaten best crap of spadam. Franky for Tom and robin for being abused through out arc and the fact spadam descending of person put a bounty on her head at 8 years old. Whitebeard tried to avenge person Who killed one of his crewmates. But since he was damaged during the war sadly he was killed. Ace tried avenge snatch killer but he ended up in Impel down then he got a hole in his stomach.
