Projecting consequence generally involves being selectively biased. It is to want a conclusion and then latching onto something that seems to point in its direction. Like with your example, there's no way to tell what happens with Big Mom and Fujitora because we really don't know the full measure of either. They have very deep reserves and high reputations established by Oda, so you can't draw a conclusion based on something like that.

Look at all this confusion over Kinemon brought by the last few months, and now Kaido tells the whole samurai collective that they ain't hurtin' shit so all the power level discussions are back to square one. Just sit back and let it play out y'know

There seems to be some misunderstanding here.
I was not giving a prediction/projection of what would happen if Fuji and Big Mom were to clash. I actually have pretty much no opinion there. I was outlining what I would think IF we actually saw a clash where Big Mom just completely overwhelmed Fuji and clearly dominated him.

I was not claiming this would be the case, rather I was indicating how I would react to it if it occurred.

The point is that clashes can clearly matter depending on how the author writes them. Not all clashes are inconsequential.

Katakuri couldn’t even tag Luffy once. Without FS he is useless

While Luffy at his absolute fastest running speed can’t keep up with casual Smoker who is waiting for Luffy to catch his breath

Perospero is better than Katakuri who is so weak-willed that he gives in to what people are gonna say about him, so he covers his face his entire life

Katakuri is never going to be important again
