It's a perforating attack if the object it targets is something much bigger, relatively speaking. In this case would be a piercing attack for something as big as a Number for example.
For us humans a spear makes piercing attacks against us because we are big enough so that can be possible. For a smaller thing is not a pierce attack, it is a blunt attack since the tip of the spear is flat at some point as we zoom it.

King's attack is not a perforating attack at all for Sanji. His beak is as big as Sanji's abdomen.

I sincerely doubt that. The tip of the mouth is still pointy and King wasn't trying to punch him but pierce his body; we can even see said tip, which doesn't even look bigger than Sanji's fingers, sinking in the suit on a very specific point.

No, the tip of King's mouth isn't that big at all, you can clearly see it is barely bigger than Sanji's fingers and the very specific area of the suit it is about to pierce. The moment that small tip pierces a whole, the moment said whole will get bigger and bigger as the rest of the beak perforates.

Yes, I also considered that his hands (arm) were not very useful for physical combat, but for the use of his DF, but he seems to be good at hand-to-hand combat.
