Yes, in that regard Zoro "beat" Hawkins. But thats no different in saying Sanji "beat" Doffy by saving the crew and stopping him from killing them. No you would still say Sanji lost.

Zoro never defeated Hawkins. Its clear as day. All he did was stop him from capturing them and then ran away.

She is joining mostly in that she has no real objective in returning to Zou it seems. Her life got a dramatic twist with the loss of Pedro and so Luffy will definitely accept her in the crew, in a certain sense it's like if she already had been a crew member all this time.. she just lacks to be formally officialized I suppose. Besides, Luffy doesn't care about power levels when picking new nakama. :)
