I'd say occupying Apoo is a pretty big deal. If we go off the translations then Apoo didn't even notice Zoro. Yamato one shot Ulti then failed to do the same thing in their short exchange a few chapters later. Why is that? Because Luffy distracted Ulti the first time which left her wide open for Yamato to go in. It isn't fair to count sneak/surprise attacks. You think Killer would ever be able to seriously wound Zoro like that in a 1 on 1 where they're both at their peak?

Of course if Apoo had prep time, his defense would be stronger, but doesn't mean Zoro couldn't take him down. Even in this chapter he doesn't even use a named attack (though it does look like ShiShi Sonson), and it's 1 sword style. Non-distracted Apoo may have required 3 sword style for example. What matters is the portrayal, how Oda made Zoro look once he got serious.

Not a dumb argument, just pointing out facts. Kid was mad at a Apoo for double crossing him and couldn't defeat him with one attack like Zoro. I expect Kid to defeat him before Zoro.

We have seen Luffy take out people with punches so you can't tell me a punch can't be lethal.

Killer didn't drop Zoro. Killer moved in for another attack and was dropped by Zoro. Zoro was fine I was moving on to fight the fox afterwards.

No. Apoo actually managed to to put a block. When Zoro cuts Apoo, we see Apoo's Tonfas getting cut too.

So basically Apoo managed to notice Zoro and try and put up his tonfas again like last chapter, and they got cut through.

Which means Zoro could've always done this. Even in a 1v1, Zoro has proven to be able to cut through Apoo's primary mode of defense

That doesn't make sense .. why does he carry Tonfa if he's only a range fighter, especially someone who was able to hold his own for a small period of time against a casual Zoro and hybrid drake — the dude has cqc skills.

Apoo's DF has to do with range. You cannot deny that. Apoo is a verstatile fighter...but like every DF user. Hes main weapon is his DF.


Like how Katakuri has Mogura, but most of the time he uses his Mochi powers. Sure he can use Mogura with DF, but Apoo cant use his Tonfa's with his DF.

Id say Apoo specialises in Mid/Long range. So the fact he was able to do so well in close range is already highly impressive.

Bro where did i say Apoo would just stay there? I said zoro would outrun him, Zoro was by far faster than Apoo according to latest chapter. And a far distance is unnecessary as a simple closed building could diminish the sounds completely, and most important point it is a strategy, running is a part of strategy

He can attack faster than Apoo, sure. But what does that have to do with his RUNNING speed? Brook can run faster than Zoro right? Do you think Brook can speed blitz Zoro? He can't. Movement speed and Attack speed are 2 very different stats. I guarantee you Zoro can slash a thousand times faster than Brook could even dream of slashing. We don't know who can run faster between Apoo and Zoro.

You mean Killer stabbed Zoro then Zoro flexed his torn shoulder muscles so hard that Killers' ENTER FUCKIN BODY STRENGTH COULDN'T REMOVE THE SCYTHE. Then Zoro one shot Killer and squared up against Gyukimaru until Gyukimaru bailed from the fight.

This is the same as Apoo going down instantly from one hit??
