You completely misinterpreted what I said, I didn’t mean that Kid’s character would be similar to Whitebeard in anyway, Kid is his own character, there are actually more parallels between him and Shanks.

I was saying in the same way Roger had Whitebeard as a rival, Luffy will have Kid as a rival at the end of One Piece and Kid will be like Whitebeard in that dynamic.

I just don't fucking see One Piece going that long where we get to see Kidd Pirates have a tie battle with SH pirates on some random island like we saw in Oden Flashback... I just don't... sorry to say that, but Luffy finishes from Kaido, Big Mom, then maybe Blackbeard, then we face WG, and Done... Series Ends... where does Kidd fall in all of this as a legitimate equal rival to Luffy? I'm not sure

The only way it happens... is Oda handing some tips to some different author to make some side novel like Ace's novel, and he has a big chapter of Kidd Pirates vs SH pirates...
But not in main story... I just can't see Oda wasting time on that with all respect...

Do you actually know which character got the WB parallel from Oda???? Believe it or not... it's Luffy in Fishman island when he was protecting it, and some random nameless guy say "he reminds me of WB"
Or the "sake cup of sons" of SH grand fleet reminding us of the "Sons of WB"

Believe it or not... Oda is just shitpacking every parallel into Luffy... and sometimes with Zoro...

But never once I have seen Oda make Kidd resemble WB.. not once, and it's all coming from fans.. and it's problematic because you are claiming that you will complain about it when oda built it that way and in same breathe you speak that he set up Kidd to be WB for Luffy... when in NO POINT did Oda do that... At some point Shanks will fight Blackbeard imo and Blackbeard is going to win through some dirty method, then Kid is going to show up to finish him off and take his place as emperor, that will create animosity between Luffy and Kid.

When all is said and done, the characters hyped today who are top tiers will be a thing of the past, the worst generation will be the new top tiers and I see Kid being equal to Luffy at the end of the series with Luffy having that 1% edge because he’s from the D clan just like it was with Roger and Whitebeard.

Kid has his own goal of being Pirate King, Luffy has the same goal which makes them enemies, not wanting to be allied with someone who is in his way doesn’t make him edgy and Luffy isn’t superior to him at this point in the series, he might be at the very end though because he’s the main character.

If you truly put Kidd on Law's level of ambition (with all due respect to Law) then you missed something. Kidd has an indomable spirit just like Luffy, it's literally the whole point of being a Conqueror.

This way, you build up the Kidd as someone who can STILL rival Luffy after Kaido's defeat, and his driving motive is his hate for the guy who took down Kaido... at least a justifiable excuse for hating Luffy instead of just acting like an edge lord who doesn't care and just taunting luffy while helping him

On a side note, although I'm not that big of a fan of Kidd, last good theory about his DF was:

Sorry mate but all this is a mess, Kidd had not even intention to attack Kaido. He was plotting against Shanks with his alliance (after he lost an arm against him).
He had bad luck cause Apoo was a snitch and Kaido fell on their heads, but didn't back down cause he is a Conqueror like Luffy and prefered to take the beating rather than kneeling like Hawkins and Apoo.
Killer too stayed with him just like Zoro would have stayed with Luffy.
He's for sure no saint (we are talking about pirates at the end of the day) but you are essentially trying to depict him like a fool similar to Jack when Oda's intention is a whole other thing. Your it's pure downplaying.
He is now in Onigashima to revenge himself and his crewmates (Killer in particular), it's impossible to know for sure how large will be his role in taking down Kaido. Imo he will be top 3 for sure for relevance but lets see.
Also his plot will continue in the future with Shanks, he was his objective since day one and will keep being it in the future.

Also don't get fooled by thinking that the rest of the story will be wrapped this fast, the journey is still really long.
