Zoro's whole point is to stop the birdcage and push against it to buy the time for luffy to defeat Doffy if we follow your point so Zoro needs to cut the birdcage around the island isn't it ?? and while you cut one another will appear not to mention Doffy monitored it each time while talking to luffy .
- What Zoro did is what others did he used the simple logic cut nothing / anything he coated his swords to make them dull so he can use them to push the birdcage without cutting it this is happened with koshiro / Zoro in alabasta or FB .
