So the theory and excuses that " Ace believed he met Oden and told WB that he was fine" is officially dead

Oda needs a better explanation to give.

Only better explanation I can think of is that WB can't afford to lose his living people for a dead person...a fight between two emperors could lead to a large scale damage.....remember, they are pirates and revenge was never their forte....

There are no scales in base. He is tough in base as well because of the Oni skin.
The same skin that Yamato has who isnt a mythical fish...

Luffy fought him in both forms G3 vs Dragon form. G4 Human/Oni form which is when he lost. Yet in Udon he only mentions his tough scales not his skin. IMO if Kaido was a human, his dragon form would make him stronger, yet in the fights we've seen, he's transformed to his 'human' form to finish Luffy, Oden & the scabbards

WB isn't the type to back down from avenging or rescuing his son/brother

I believe , WB lost to Kaido..WBP covered it up and stopped messing with Wano.
