The story just says so. Not kidding, ylthenarrator straight up says "He's far stronger than when he left"
In the chapter where Oden starts dancing
The narrator says Oden came back far stronger than he left. He left like 6-8 years before that scene.
He met Roger like year before he returned to wano but a lot of shit can happen in a year especially considering the narrator straight up says he's been growing stronger

It has to be with that name. With a nickname like Wildfire or Conflagaraiton in some translations, it does invoke the image of sheer fiery devastation and with the hell themes he has, it would be very fitting. I thought hte big forest fire earlier in Wano was started by him, but nope it was Kinemon!

Queen has shown to cause sheer anarchy, a pandemic panic with his plague type abilities and although I'm disappointed he wasn't a bee zoan or whatever (Killer Bee Queen lol. I also wanted a "Scorpion King"), I think King will cause a massive inferno when he does get to fight.
I have a feeling he will truly fight at Wano itself, after Onigashima has been brought down onto it. And thus King will spread wildfire like that.
I remember Oda Nobunaga using a scorched earth attack at some point in his reign and King might do the same? "Reign of Fire"? Badum tsh lol.

Sanji vs King
not only is his bounty 1,33 billion berries (Sanji 330 million) but they also have had a previous clash in addition to similar performances against the Queen Mam Chanter
Sanji's roundhouse kick (with no massive amounts of momentum like King used) midair redirects the giant sized cannon ball (it is held together by Caesar into essentally one big cannon ball) and creates an impact that imparts significant damage to the starboard side form the impact of his launching the cannon balls with the force of his attack, like you can fit x number of Thousand Sunnies in the crater created
The BMP stop pursuing the strawhats after this attack from Sanji
King in full zoan who uses a fully powered up momentum based attack vs Sanji with just the impact of DJ midair with no momentum, stops and redirects the cannon ball that destroys the starboard side and the ship incurs siginifcant structural damge...
King didn't break the hull (though the hull is the strongest part of the ship) while Sanji from just redirecting the cannon balls with his attack tilts the ship and incurs significant structural damage to the starboard side...
While Marco dodges King and Queen, he doesn't even think Zoro can help him in this so they must both be evasive pussbois and not fight them to "save strength" lol
