Clearly Joy Boy had some objectives and when he didn't achieve them he promised Poseidon that somebody else will do it. He even had history of the Ancient Kingdom scattered throughout the world in the hope of preserving it. So, he failed and went for a back-up plan.

On the other hand, Ryuuma protected Wano against all attackers. If Ryuuma and Joy Boy were from the same era, then the attackers are the ones who managed to force Joy Boy into back-up plan.

Another thing is, Ryuuma protected Wano against Pirates too. I don't know if pirates existed in the void century.
Pirates exist as long as people use sea transportation. But that ties into my point who wrote his apology letter to Poseidon? Only someone form wano can write the poneglyphs. That’s why I think it’s ryumma

Joy Boy and Ryuuma is not even comparable.

Joy Boy and Ryuuma is not even comparable.
I am not comparing them. The point I am trying to prove is that if Joy Boy and Ryuuma were from the same time, that means Ryuuma pushed back the same enemies that Joy Boy lost to.

But if they are from different eras, then Joy Boy and Ryuuma didn't face the same enemies.

Only someone form wano can write the poneglyphs. That’s why I think it’s ryumma
But the letter and the remaining Poneglyphs were constructed by the Kozuki clan. While Ryuuma's family is unknown, he was labeled Shimotsuki I believe.

Shitomoski and Kozuki go hand in hand. Yasu was a candidate for shogun as well.

May be. But the two clans are just that - two different clans. I guess we will find out more later, but it doesn't feel like to me that Ryuuma could be a product of the void century.
Two different clans but wanos greatest warrior came from Shitomoski and one of its greatest swordsmiths who made enma and another one looks just like Zoro. Can’t wait for oda to expand on it. If he messes up the sword lore one piece is gonna head down a slippery slope
