While i understand your argument, specialy with the build up, i am still sure Zoro wont kill Kaido, cause Luffy refuses to. If Luffy dont want to kill his enemy, his second in command wont take that step over the head of his captain. Zoro will always respect Luffys decision here, so even tho he would be able then, he wont do it cause of Luffy.

I doubt Luffy will stop Zoro from killing Kaidou if the chance arrives anyway. He isn't Batman, he doesn't have a code against Killing. In fact, it was Law who convinced him not to kill Doffy in Dressrosa.

Why would the giant sword do anything ? You need ryou. Just cause its bigger doesnt mean anything or else luffy would have just fought kaido again and used kkg instead.

I cant share your convincing here, but thats fine. I cant see a way where Zoro would kill Kaido, with my biggest issue is the mentioned above. Zoro also has no intention in killing kaido, why would he? His goal is not related to Kaido at all, Kaido is just a step on Luffy ladder and this is all whats important for zoro in Onigashima, so also for Zoro, only Luffys decision how to deal with Kaido is important. If Luffy decides Kaido needs to die and says so, Zoro wouldnt have a second thought about killing Kaido, but we all know Luffy, he wont decide that. He would take his win over Kaido, Kaido will be unconcious and when Luffy is about to leave, someone will take the situation to finish the job. If thats Kid, Law, Blackbeard or whoever TF it is, maybe he even Big Mum, isnt that important at all, but i cant imagine it being Zoro.

Being shocked doesnt mean he hasnt seen it in years, it just means he didnt expected it from the scabbards. He could literaly have seen in 20 seconds before and still be shocked the scabbards are able to use it.

I said that Kid using Ryu when he fought Kaido is a really little chance

Kid training Ryu was not shown on panel obviously, but what would be the point of making Luffy and him as rivals during the naval battle and the raid then if he doesn't have something to hurt Kaido?
