If Marco is powerful enough to solo King + Queen,

Then Whitebeard's portrayal against Kaido looks even worse, at least Old Whitebeard. It means Old Whitebeard's crew > Kaido's crew, but Old Whitebeard still doesn't invade Wano. Probably Marco has grown more powerful when Whitebeard has grown old, so that could be Old Whitebeard's excuse.
