Law's rivalry with Luffy ended when Sanji called him out for being too focused on Revenge against Doffy. Someone that is actively trying to serve the D will not be chosen by the D (<----- this sounds sus as hell I know lol)

Law's and Luffy's paths have diverged. Robin telling Law "Luffy doesn't care about the Will of D" pretty much makes their goals different. Luffy finding One Piece and Law finding truth about will of d aren't mutually exclusive. As for other novas, I think Luffy being 2 years behind actually benefited them. They jumped in to the NW too fast and got sucked into the Yonko dominance. BlackBeard and Kid will probably be top rivals till the end tho.

In Kid's case I agree. Other cases he's shown great imagination tho. Still haven't even seen Kid properly fight anyway, so fingers crossed it gets better.

I know what they stand for lol I just don't believe in creating a universal tier for all pirates in the same rank. Who know if YC1 from BMP is as strong as YC1 from RHP? Every crew has different strengths. BMP intelligence and family numbers. RHP, smaller crew but the biggest average bounties, etc...

Yeah Luffy is definitely always gonna be stronger than his pack of peers. I don't think he necessarily needs to be the strongest in the verse to achieve his goal tho.

Working on one of the biggest projects of my career and my brain won't shut off at night.

So gotta come on here and shitpost with some weebs :milaugh:
Itยดs really up in the air, since Law has expressed interest in One Piece before prior to all the D stuff.
Also, if revenge was his only motivator, well that revenge is taken, he is still part of the alliance. And it does not seem like itยดs only out of duty.
Itยดs more a strength-related thing, he put the thing he prepared a decade for but could not accomplish himself in Luffyยดs hands.

Early One Piece he showed it yes, but a lot of abilities, especially after the timeskip, are rather stale.

Deducted from the stalemate since it is generally assumed that at one point at least, these guys battled to a degree that the stalemate emerged naturally.
After a certain point, numbers do not do much for you, high and top tiers are like the OP version of arms race that the different crews try to match up. Can also be seen in Goroseiยดs reaction whenever a Shichibukai disappears that is supposed to be the counterpart of these high tiers, emphasis on supposed to be.
Also we have seen how guys below get treated by high tiers, so having numbers in that regard also does not help you much.

So yes, while each position does not have to be equal, and obviously abilities will have different relations to each other, itยดs not illogical to think that the commanders match up one way or the other.

What happened to Kaido wanting to die, maybe they'll bring that back. Only way to defeat him.
Yep the only way they defeat him maybe because kaido want to dead n released from his nightmare with oden.
N for bm maybe she will roled again by jinbe n robin :gokulaugh:
Btw BM wont die because nami kinda will become some strong member from sh by using zeus, n if bm dead zeus will be no more :goyea:

This is the moment we've built up to since Punk Hazard.
Yet i don't see Luffy and company being able to defeat 2 Yonkos without the help of a god.
That's right we need the Enel moon army up in here!

The way I understood it, it was a facade to cover up his real goal of exacting revenge on Doffy. He was a blinded avenger, and never followed up on the Will of D seriously. His flashback to Corazon's "D clan are enemies of God" as Luffy beat Doffy + his conversation with Sengoku changed things. It gave him hope that if he followed Luffy he'd figure out the secret for his cursed existence. I think it's a really interesting dynamic actually rather than going up against Luffy. Gives him a great goal till EOS and adds to Luffy's "making allies is the strongest ability on the sea" theme.

I believe there's a general tier for power, yes. Just meant it's not the exact science some here take it for.

Could be, just that he ushered that in front of his crew, who seem very loyal to him, so i do not necessarily see the need to deceive them.
Might just be Oda not putting even more characters into limelight. Thatยดs the only thing amiss in regards to Law imo, how his crew has been treated so far.

Fair enough.
