The fact that Doflamingo was able of surviving and repairing his organs in the first place is an indication that the technique wasn't as effective at Law claimed it would be. You don't survive something supposed to destroy all your vital organs just with "first aids". and Doflamingo's organism is nowhere near Kaido and Linlin's.
The problem is that Oda has maneuvered himself into a corner: He doesn't want to do some real lighthearted adventure arcs with a lot of gags anymore, but on the other hand he's also afraid of actually writing a more mature story with actual consequences (deaths etc.) for his characters.
That's what's annoying a lot of the older readers. He hyped up the New World to be this super tough place, where every little mistake can cause severe consequences, yet he uses even more plot conveniences than ever to make sure that nobody actually suffers any consequences (Ceasar's gas not killing the marines, Plot-Cake-Island, BM's amnesia, Law the deus-ex-machina man etc.).
So you get arcs where the writing is just not really coherent/believable anymore. You either write a more mature story with consequences or you keep your rather lighthearted pre-skip style. Pretending to go down the more mature route, while being afraid to actually kill off characters etc. is just bound to disappoint your readers.
That´s true, it contradicts each other.
Not that deaths necessarily elevate a story, but i can certainly underline possible consequences while emphasizing the severity of the situation.
Also that´s only one part of "maturity" and i think it´s unfair to reduce it to only that.
It´s definitely relevant, maybe even essential, for suspense purposes, also as another layer for the audience to feel, but it´s not necessarily influencing other things that can be classified as such.
Ultimately i agree to a certain extent though.
Who knows, maybe Pedro, Yasu and such were supposed to be signify that transition, even if it did not work so well, though i only believe it when i see it definitely.
Yep, OP fandom is not a homogeneous bunch. Some want only battles (which i never thought Oda did pretty well beyond the clash of ideals), some want other things.
For real
Regardless if people want to admit it or not... and just wanna sound so unique and different by saying "We are not much into fighting, it's about story and adventure" and wanna sound cool when saying it... at end of the day, Skypea and Foxy arc gets skipped by them LMAO or gets an average to low rating from most fans... compared to arcs like Enies Lobby or Marineford

This is true. I suppose Gamma Knife can also get more powerful as long as Law's haki becomes stronger. But that's not a guarantee either, rather a supposition.
However I'm not entirely sure that their organisms would be supposed to not get damaged or eventually pretty damaged at least, since Doffy would have 100% died in one shot differently.
I don't really think I'm his friend or anything lol,I'm just mentioning his ideas which are usually clear cut from the majority of our Zoro fandom.
But I don't also know what you guys were arguing about so yeah, I shouldn't have butted in.
Anyone who fully read Wano Arc knows what Oda was building up:
1. Wano Arc starts with focus on Zoro & Luffy
2. Crew is separated & we get to see only Luffy & Zoro reunion
3. When Crew is reunited, Luffy is sent to Udon where he meets Hyogoro & then Momo while Zoro is alone & meets Yasuie & then Hiyori
4. Luffy meets Kid & Zoro meets Killer (Also Luffy befriended O-Tama while Zoro befriended Toko)
5. Luffy learns new CoA & Zoro acquire Enma which empowers his CoA too
6. Both are shown Training before Act 3
7. Oden is basically a combination of Both Luffy & Zoro
8. Once they reached Onigashima, Luffy & Zoro are the first to enter after Kid & they are the first who start trouble
9. Both are shown trying to reach the Roof together but Queen & King throw them back
10. Now they both reached the Roof together in Chapter 1000
