As for the 9 its obviously not the scabbards, the double spread of the novas happens at the same time as Oden is saying it again.

I don't have much hope about Kid, Law and Killer taking part in this.

Prediction:

We gonna have,
Group 1: Zoro and Luffy vs Kaido.
Group 2: Killer and Kid vs Big Mom.
- While Law will assist both groups and tries to balance the fights of the two groups.

The 1 percent guy that will be killed is either going to be Kid or Killer. Maybe that's the reason why Killer joined the fight and not strong fighters such as X-Drake and Hawkins. Because he's going to die or watch his captain getting killed.

Given the fact that Oden mentioned 9, i doubt its just these 5. The words are here but that doesnt mean its all of them as it contradicts the first statement. It just means they are being confirmed as part of that prophecy, atleast that's my understanding of it :P
