We are talking about strength here. Being in the worstgen doesn't make you magically stronger.

People like Urouge and Capogne are older than Marco and Jimbei and they would get trashed HARD by Marco and Jinbei.

Missing the point. Oden's words say these 5 that will help take down Kaido are the ones who will lead the new era.

So even if Killer is weaker than Marco etc, he will be one day a top tier of the new era.

Sanji is from the same new gen but isn't part of the 'lead new era' narrative unlike Killer.

Killer is getting face by being there with the 3 supernova captains and Zoro who is among the most important SH (if not indeed only second to Luffy) so Kudos to Killer.

Sanji on the other hand is treated almost as a comedic relief. Marco blocked King and a Queen at the same time, Jinbe is blocking the 4th floor while Sanji was trapped by Black Maria and now most likely we will jave to wait for Robin to come save him with a Kalifa 2.0 situation and then maybe he either joins the big fight or fights Queen. Either way Killer is getting a lot of face while Sanji as per usual is the clown of Oda for most of the time.
