Mate, Marco can only match King's ZOOAN form. King's hybrid/base is a swordsman. Marco has nothing to counter that.

Yamato’s dream has been made painstakingly clear over the last few chapters, including this one - she wants to be free from her father’s oppressive clutches and experience the world as her idol Oden did. If you say this isn’t strong enough motivation for her to join, I’d argue that Carrot’s dream is the exact same thing, so either both of them have good reason to follow Luffy, or neither of them do.

As far as the role, I’ve long said that someone doesn’t NEED a position to justify traveling on a ship. Zoro himself is a combatant, which isn’t a well-defined job, and although they mean something to Luffy, you don’t really need an archaeologist (Robin) or a musician (Brook) on a pirate crew. There are only so many tangible jobs, and yet, we have seen plenty of crews with far more bodies than would reasonably fill them. Oden himself didn’t seem to have an actual responsibility in Roger’s crew, and filling the role of commander for WB also doesn’t carry any requirements past being powerful. If we’re gonna sit here and pretend like “lookout” is a necessary role, tell me why we’re 1000 chapters in and the SHP have gotten along just fine without one.

Every SH was given a role on the ship but because Yamato doesn't have one it isn't necessary?

I have to say though that Oda did an horrible job at hyping up that "new generation of pirates that would come in 20 years" throughout the timeskip and Wano.

Are we supposed to now believe that Kid and Law are any better than the Scabbards? Feats wise neither of them is close to the Dukes in Sulong form, Law was destroyed by Doflamingo (who held back on his awakening) Kid couldn't beat a Sweet Commander, Killer got oneshotted by Zoro.

A team of Marco/King/Queen/Jinbe/Yamato would hardly feel any weaker than these 5, hell I'd say It's stronger from top to bottom

Stop assuming you know how strong Kidd is. He has only fought against top tiers that everyone knows he would lose against post timeskip. His run in with the Sweet Commander was almost two years ago and he won that exchange if you ask me. He stole something and left which means the injury had to be significant enough to make the commander stop following him.

Law and Killer don’t have to be heavy hitters, they can play support for the heavy hitters like Luffy and Kidd.

Lmao preskip Kid isn't doing shit vs a SC.
Oda could've easily wrote that it was Kid who defeated a SC and Urouge.
Also Pekoms on FI said they needed money to replace the ships Kid has destroyed so he was still involved with BM in recent times and failed to defeat anyone of note.

Kid has 0 W so far and Zoro did what he couldn't do : oneshot Apoo
