Killer is a guy who shall never remotely threaten the strongest supernovae in the series. He is a guy standing below average calamity level but despite so, no supernova should be originally meant to die out anytime soon.

It's an easy argument to make based on ancient Zoan vs smile fruit.

But it's also still very possible that he has a skill that was irrelevant to fighting Zoro. Like cutting clouds or something. If Luffy can produce flames from rubber who's to say Killer can't affect souls like Brooke or something.

In any case anyone who doesn't think Killer will prove much stronger than Kamazo is a crackhead

I can see X Drake ranking a tad highter but I also consider X Drake the strongest Tobi Roppo, eventually above Jack's level. Perhaps Killer is on YC3 level as well, but we shall see how he will manage. Law should definitely be more potent than Killer overall for example and yet he should not be sitting on Doffy' level just yet.

Smile is permanent for all we know but now he shows no injuries, has his weapons back and most importantly reunited with his captain and his crew

SMILE doesn't mess up your mind, it obliges you to smile/laugh permanently. The problem with Killer's situation is that the SMILE revived a trauma (revealed by Kidd with a hint to his past) and was basically the drop that makes the vase overflow. He had already fought and lost against Kaido, was separated from Kidd and his crew then blackmailed to work under Kaido/Orochi as an assassin. He was exhausted.

Now he looks fresh, with the right weapons and most importantly he looks sharp. Just look at the difference in dialogues between Onigashima raid and the fight with Zoro. SMILE is still there, but he has all the rest back.
