Actually i don't mind the Kalifa thing
It showed us how much Sanji stands for his values and made a good moment for Nami
It's just the post time skip that Oda went overboard and is repeating the same things over and over again but atleast he didn't kill his character and make him a robot like another certain strawhat so atleast i'm grateful for that

Sanji is exactly the same, just his gags are more annoying looking and he doesnt defeat impressive opponents anymore.

I misremembered, Zoro's CoO/ situational awareness was inferior to Queens so he noticed after Queen.
But the main point is, rather than engage the enemy he wasted Luffy's time and allowed them both to be caught.
