The uncertanity and mystery surrounding aizens character and the unanswered questions about the source of his actions is what makes aizen one of my favourite villians. He actually frustrates you and you feel like watching someone really evil, not someone who is evil because he went through some phase in his life. Its just apart of who he is.

I'll admit that Aizen does frustrate me as the Hueco Mundo arc drags. I just don't connect with him and he doesn't stop being smug until Ichigo palms him.

Not really but I can appreciate how messed up and slimy Yhwach is. Aizen remains unflappable until the very end and that perfect image he has really pushes me away from him.
