People are surprised as of we have seen kidd lights or full set.

I think kidd had ryou but he lacked the firepower to do lots of damage unlike Luffy who lacked ryou to hurt Kaido while having the firepower.

It'll be stupid for kidd to bring lots of metals and use bigger attacks if his issue was lack of ryou

If base kaido (once sobered) can finish lufty in one chapter , finish retainers in one chapter...
Base kaido and Linlin can indeed beat them in 1 chapter too. It's possible
