He need ryou otherwise their is a noway off Kid damaging Kaido or Linlin and you can expect for sure that Kid gonna hurt them.
Even g4 couldn´t damage them, haki alone isn´t enough, you need a strong Ryou overall.

Just with a short thought, i guess there are other ways to. Imagine Killer being able to sneak some blades into Kaido, while Boro-Breath for example. If Kid is able to control them inside of Kaido, he can cut him openly from the inside, even without ryou.

Killer will show himself as an exceptional fighter but will really distinguish himself cause he'll have some street-smart tricks that really will give the SN the upper hand, something similar to what you mentioned
